Who runs this, and how a rating is made.

1Who we are

Who AI Knows is an independent product, built and run by Nitin Mewar and Sidhanth Pandey from India. There is no company behind it; “we” on this site means the two of us, and the two of us are who you reach when you write to [email protected].

2What the product does

When a buyer asks an AI assistant who to choose, some businesses are in the answer and most are not. Who AI Knows measures which one you are: we ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews the questions your buyers ask, read every answer, and tell you where you were named, where a rival was named instead, and what to change. The first rating is free and takes about a minute.

3How a rating is made

A rating starts from your website, not from a keyword list. We read your site, work out what you sell and who buys it, and write the questions a buyer would ask — questions never contain your brand name, because a buyer who already knows your name is not the one you are trying to reach. Each question goes to all five assistants with live web search, and every answer is read the same three ways: are you in it, how high, and which sources it cites.

The score out of 100 counts an answer for you when it names your business or cites your site. We also check what each assistant says about you against your own site: a description that gets everything right counts in full, one with a wrong fact counts half. Assistants word their answers a little differently each time they are asked, so two ratings of one site on the same day can differ by about 4 points — the score is a measurement with error bars, not a verdict.

4What we do not do

We do not guarantee points, we do not sell placement in anyone’s answers, and the fixes we hand you are computed from your own answers and pages, never invented. Paying customers get the same questions asked again every Monday, so a change on your site shows up as a change in the answers, or it does not, and you see which.
